Abstract This Law stipulates several basic principles and various requirements in terms of preservation, management, protection (biodiversity); fire protection; protection of habitats and land from erosion; protection from floods; water and hydropower issues and impact) and strengthening of general-purpose forest functions, aimed to implement the rational, sustainable and controlled use of forests and forest land on the territory of the Brcko District (both private and public forests (here defined as public interest goods).
