Abstract

This Law makes rules governing fishing activities, giving particular regard to the protection of the aquatic environment. The possession of a special licence is required to carry out fishing activities (art. 2). Particular prohibited fishing zones shall be set up in rivers by Ordinance (art. 9). Article 11 prohibits the fishing, keeping, transport, marketing and consumption of fish products coming from banned rivers or prohibited fishing zones. An Ordinance shall also establish those periods during which fishing shall be allowed.
