The Law enters into force from the date of its official publication.
Abstract

The present Law determines legal relations of state bodies, natural and legal persons irrespectively of the form of property in the sphere of ensuring fire safety on the territory of Turkmenistan. State fire supervision in forests, mountain areas, steppes and grazing areas shall be carried out by services of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The Cabinet of Ministers shall establish general principles and certification in the sphere of fire safety (art. 17). Local executive bodies shall set up the commission for carrying out fire prevention and nature protection arrangements, ensuring fire safety and fire extinguishing in forest areas, mountain areas, steppe and grazing areas and shall organize the procedure thereof (art. 18). In forest areas, mountain areas, steppe and grazing areas the organization of fire extinguishing shall be carried out by the commission for carrying out fire prevention and nature protection arrangements subordinated to the local executive body with the participation of the respective service attached to the Ministry of Environmental Protection (art. 23).
