Abstract The purpose of this Law shall be to regulate the protection and breeding of terrestrial and water fauna within the national territory. Methods for the protection of fauna shall include: (a) setting limits on fauna use; (b) keeping records of rare and endangered species in the Red Book; (c) protecting natural habitats and migration routes; (d) establishing game reserves and regulating their use; and (e) stock enhancement and repopulation measures. Rare and endangered species shall be hunted or trapped in accordance with special hunting permits. Game animals shall be the property of the state. The use of fauna by citizens and economic entities is subject to fees. Permits for animal collections shall be issued to citizens and economic entities by the central governmental bodies. An environmental inspector may impose a penalty for any violation of the legislation on fauna that is not subject to criminal prosecution. Full text English
