This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Law regulates several basic energy efficiency provisions and necessary principles to be adopted and respected, in terms of final energy consumption, defines the requirements for various general public interest related activities. It also sets the rules for making and implementing plans to implement the provided energy efficiency measures, including other related issues such as provisions regarding the financing/aid/subsidies, inspection and monitoring duties, energy services and energy audits, public sector obligations, obligations of big consumers, rights and obligations of end consumers, including public and residential and commercial sectors that are all aimed to respect the above mentioned energy efficiency measures.
