This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Law, in order to protect life and health, provides measures and requirements for combat drug abuse, governing: a) the conditions for the cultivation of plants from which is possible to obtain a narcotic drug, and the conditions for the production, possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs and substances that can be used to manufacture illicit drugs; b) the control over the cultivation of plants from which is possible to obtain narcotic drugs and the production, possession and trade of narcotic drugs and substances that can be used to manufacture illicit drugs; c) the measures to combat drug abuse; d) the system for the prevention of addiction and help addicts and sporadic drug consumers.
