Abstract This Law regulates the conditions and the manner of water supply for drinking, interruption of drinking water supply and drainage of urban wastewater in the recipient through the water supply and sewerage system, including construction, maintenance, protection and the connection of water supply and sewerage systems, the relations between providers and users of such services, as well as supervision over the implementation of rules here provided. Objectives of this Law are: availability of sufficient quantities of healthy and clean water for drinking for the needs of the users of the service, in accordance with the requirements, water quality standards and values; supply of health-safe drinking water, and in case of contamination, prohibition or restriction of its use; adequate informing of the service users about the water quality for drinking and taking measures to ensure water quality for drinking; appropriate treatment of industrial wastewater in front of them discharge into the recipient; draining urban wastewater to ensure protection from the negative effects of their release.
