Abstract This Law establishes the basic rights of consumers when purchasing goods (including all types of food and feed) and services, protection of safety of life and health of consumers, the obligation of carrying out commercial activities in a fair and secured way, selling products and services, product labelling and packaging, liability and warranty for products or services, unfair business practice offences and penalties, services of general economic interest, contracts concluded away from business premises, sales on the basis of distance contracts, unfair terms in consumer contracts, electronic payment instruments, time-use provisions, protection of consumer rights (legal and physical), monitoring and registration tasks, as well as other issues related to the protection of consumer rights.
