Abstract This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational grounds for certification related to certification and accrediting of certification bodies by state certification authority. Objects of certification shall be produce and services (Art. 6). The scope of certification shall be as follows: (a) protection of natural and legal persons against produce and services not complying with certification requirements; (b) ensuring safety of produce and services; and (c) consumer protection (Art. 4). Certification shall be based upon the following principles: (a) openness, transparency and objectiveness of information related to certification procedure; (b) independence of certification authority; (c) establishment of the full list of documents requested for certification; (d) optimization of terms of certification; and (e) ensuring confidentiality and conservation of commercial secrets of the applicant (Art. 6).
