Abstract

This Law, consisting of 24 articles, may be cited as the Biocidal Products Act 2014. The provisions of this Law shall apply to biocidal products and treated articles as defined in Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012. The purpose of this Act are: to take the necessary measures for the implementation in the National territory of the above mentioned EU Regulation and to establish general provisions relating to the authorization for biocide products marketing. In addition, it establishes official controls regarding the placing on the market and uses of biocidal products. Offences and penalties are specified and imposed to any person who contravenes the provisions of this Law.
