Abstract This Law regulates legal bases for carrying out apiculture, protection and reproduction of bees, creation of the conditions for raising apiculture productivity and intensive development of apiculture. Natural and legal persons shall have the right to carry out apiculture without any authorization or permit of state bodies. Natural and legal persons shall be allotted plots of land on lease for placement of apiaries irrespectively of the place of registration of bee families (art. 4). Number of bee families that can be kept by natural or legal persons is unlimited (art. 5). Each apiary shall be issued veterinary certificate. Natural and legal persons carrying out apiculture shall undertake preventive measures against bee diseases the list of which shall be validated by the Government (art. 8). Apiculture products shall be authorized for trade after veterinary and sanitary certification. Extraneous additives and adulteration of apiculture products shall be prohibited (art. 9).
