Abstract The scope of this Law shall be to regulate transactions with agricultural commodities and raw materials and to establish legal basis for stock exchange of agricultural commodities and raw materials, purchase, storage, transport and exchange trade thereof. Agricultural commodity exchange shall be intended the place of purchase of agricultural commodities in designated premises or on the electronic marketplace and in the market exchange. Agricultural commodity exchange shall operate on the principles of independence, transparency and openness. The objective of this Law shall be to stimulate involvement of agricultural cooperatives and farmers in agricultural commodity exchange trade. Regulatory board of agricultural commodity exchange shall monitor, supervise and suppress the intention to raise or reduce artificially priced commodities trading. Purchase, sale and trading of agricultural commodities at agricultural commodity exchange shall be regulated by contracts. Participants of agricultural commodity stock exchange shall be classified as permanent and non-permanent members. This Law consists of V Chapters divided into 17 Articles. Chapter I lays down general provisions. Chapter II regards agricultural commodity exchange operations. Chapter III regards agricultural commodity exchange traders.
