Abstract

The Law of the Sea specifies the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform maritime activities and navigation within the waters under Mozambican jurisdiction. This Law consists of 8 chapters defining: Involved sectors and areas where this Law shall be applied (Chap. 1); Territorial sea, calculated from the different baselines (in the table) (2); Water jurisdiction (including marine and internal waters) (3); Vessels (including: ownership, classification and registration, etc.) (4); Maritime industry and trade (5); Crew conditions (6); Maritime administration (including powers over foreign vessels) (7); Final provisions (8).
