Abstract This Law, consisting of 122 articles divided into XIX Chapters, provides for the Law on Trade. In this Act referred to as: 1. Trade is the order of the activities related to the transaction of goods and/or services in the country and beyond the borders of the country with the purpose of transfer of rights to the Goods and/or Services to obtain rewards or compensation. 2. Domestic Trade is the Sale of Goods and/or Services within the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, which does not include the Foreign Trade. 3. Foreign Trade is trade that includes export activities and/or Import of Goods and/or Services trade beyond the borders of the country. 4. Border Trade is trade conducted by Indonesian citizens residing in border areas of Indonesia with a population of neighbouring countries to meet their daily needs. Trade policy is based on the principle: a. national interests; b. legal certainty; c. fair and healthy; d. business security; e. accountable and transparent; f. independence; g. partnerships; h. expediency; i. simplicity; j. togetherness; and k. environmentally sound.
