Abstract The Law, consisting of 108 articles divided into ten Chapters, provides for the protection and empowerment of farmers. It establishes the requirements to be satisfied in order to benefit from financial assistance to perform agriculture activities. Farmers Protection and Empowerment aims to: a) realize the sovereignty and independence of the farmers in order to improve the level of welfare, quality, and a better life; b) provide agricultural infrastructure and facilities needed to develop the Farm Enterprise; c) provide certainty of Farming; d) protecting farmers from price fluctuations, high-cost economic practices, and crop failures; e) improve the capacity and capacity of Farmers and Farmers Institutions in running a productive, advanced, modern and sustainable Farming Enterprise; and f) develop an agricultural financing institution that serves the interests of Farming Enterprises. In addition, it provides marketing guarantee of agricultural products to farmers who carry out Farming Enterprises as Government programmes; land and building tax relief for productive agricultural lands cultivated on an ongoing basis; and realization of agricultural market support facilities.
