Abstract

The Law regulates the forestry in Adjara. It consists of 18 articles: Scope of application (1); Purpose of the Law (2); Definition of terms (3); Management of forest on the territory of Adjara (4); Competences of responsible agencies (5); Types of services by the agencies (6); Timber production permit (7); Production of timber (8); Hunting permit (9); Forest use permit (10); Preparing the licensing object (11); Issuing the forest use permit (12); Preparing information about a plot of land within the forest (13); Marking and separating timber to be cut (14); Issuing the certificate of origin for timber and/or issuing special markings (15); Fees for the services rendered by the responsible agencies (16); Special forest use permit (17); and Entry into force of the Law (18). The purpose of the Law is to protect and restore forest in Adjara, and regulate the relations involving the forest fund.
