Abstract This Law consisting of 6 articles aims at establishing protected natural areas in the Region with the following tasks (i) conservation of environmental resources represented by biological diversity and geological diversity; (ii) preservation of plant and animal species within and outside their habitats and ecosystems; (iii) promotion of scientific research in biology and environmental systems; (iv) encouraging eco-tourism and human activities without damage to natural resources; (v) sensitize citizens to the importance of preserving natural reserves and the importance of plant and animal genetic resources; (vi) economic development of the sites through the sustainable use of their resources without damaging the natural environment; (vii) preserving the cultural, traditional and traditional knowledge of the community related to the site.
