Abstract This Law establishes the conditions for retail trade of alcohol products on the territory of St.Petersburg and the territories under its administrative jurisdiction. Alcohol products comprehend drinkable alcohol, vodka, spirituous liquors, cognac (brandy), calvados, grape wine, fruit and berry wine and other alimentary products with the contents of ethyl alcohol extracted from alimentary raw materials over 1,5% of the total volume of a single unit of alcohol products (except for beer). Retail trade is carried out in the presence of licence issued in accordance with the modalities established by the legislation currently in force. The Administration of St.Petersburg establishes the modalities of passing compulsory inspection of alcohol products on the territory of St.Petrsburg.
