Abstract This Law determines legal, economic and organizational bases of the state policy related to production, export, import, wholesale and retail sale of sugar. Volumes of sugar production, supplied to the internal Ukrainian market shall be limited by quota A (quota of sugar supply to the internal market shall mean a maximum amount of sugar to be supplied to the internal market from September 1 of the current year to September 1 of the following year to satisfy home demand). Marginal sizes of quotas A and B (quota of sugar supply under international agreements shall mean the amount of sugar to be supplied outside Ukraine under international agreements, and replenish quota A, if necessary) shall be determined on the annual basis by the cabinet of ministers of Ukraine. Volumes of sugar production within quotas A and B shall be distributed between sugar refineries on a competitive basis by the body, authorized by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Distribution of sugar production volumes within quotas A and B shall be performed not later than January 1 of the current year. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall establish the procedure and the terms of distribution of sugar production volumes within quotas A and B. Full text English
