Abstract This Law establishes legal basis for standardization in Russian Federation that is compulsory for all state administrative bodies, as well as for enterprises and entrepreneurs (subjects of economic activity), social associations and determines arrangements for state protection of the interests of consumers and of the state by means of elaboration and application of normative documents regarding standardization. The document consists of V Sections that contain 16 Articles. Sec.I (arts. 1-5) lays down general provisions. Sec.2 (Arts.6-10) regards normative documents on standardization and their application. Sec.III (Arts.11-13) regards state control and survey over the observance of the requirements of state standards. Sec.IV (art. 14) establishes liability for the infringement of the present Law. Sec.V (Arts.15-16) regards financing of the activity on state standardization, state control and survey and stimulation of the application of state standards. Full text Russian
