Abstract

The present Law sets forth legal and organizational basis for the prevention and elimination of negative impact of environmental factors on the human organism and regulates the activity of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of state bodies, legal and physical persons. The present Law consists of 7 Chapters that contain 50 Articles. Chapter 1 lays down the general provisions. Chapter 3 determines the rights and obligations of citizens of the Republic of Belarus, foreign citizens, stateless persons, individual entrepreneurs and organization in the sphere of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population. Chapter 4 establishes the general requirements for ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population. Chapter 5 regards bodies, establishments and officials that carry out the state sanitary inspection, their rights and duties, and determines the main guarantees of the officials of the aforesaid bodies. Chapter 6 deals with departmental sanitary inspection, industrial and public sanitary control. Chapter 7 determines the liability for the infringement of sanitary and epidemiological legislation.
