The Law enters into force 4 months after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

The present Law establishes the requirements for the transactions with foodstuffs and regulates relations connected with food safety issues. Trade of foodstuffs shall be prohibited in the following cases: 1) if the foodstuffs contain prohibited food additives; 2) if maximum residue limits exceed the allowable limits; 3) if the period of validity has expired; 4) packaging materials contacting foodstuffs do not meet the established hygienic requirements; 5) foodstuffs do not meet the established s
