Abstract This Law regulates relations dealing with turnover of firearms and ammunition on the national territory. Art. 3 establishes that firearms for civic uses shall be those destined for hunting and sport by the Armenian nationals. Art. 6 establishes restrictions for the use of firearms and, in particular, prohibits use of long-barrel rifles with the length of barrel less than 500 mm, the total length of rifle less than 800 mm or magazine capacity of more than 10 cartridges. Art. 7 establishes that all the firearms manufactured on the national territory or imported thereto shall be subject to compulsory certification. Article 13 establishes that Armenian nationals in possession of hunting authorization or hunting permit shall have the right to purchase no more than three firearms.
