Abstract This Law regulates relations connected with tourism in the process of realization of the right of citizens to recreational activity. Tourism activity shall be subject to licensing and standardization. The Act consists of 7 Sections divided into 23 articles: (1) general provisions; (2) state policy in the sphere of tourism; (3) organization and services; (4) legal interests, rights and duties of tourists; (5) tourist safety; (6) liability; and (7) conclusive and transitional provisions. This Law establishes that tourism resources shall include historical and cultural heritage and natural resources (Art. 2). The basic guidelines of the national policy in the sphere of tourism shall be to ensure conservation of the objects of historical and cultural heritage and environment, and rational use thereof in order to meet tourists’ demands (Art. 5).
