Abstract

Article 2 defines hunting association as follows: “Association of Hunters - Association of citizens and (or) foreigners permanently residing in the Republic of Lithuania, established and operating in the Republic of Lithuania, for the common needs of the members and objectives related to hunting.” Article 5 specifies the rights of hunting association: (a) to submit to the institutions which adopt hunting legislation, proposals for the preparation and improvement of these legal acts; (b) to participate in the work of the commissions established in accordance with this Law and propose to them their representatives; (c) to organize hunting training courses for those who are preparing for the hunting exam; (d) to organize the training of hunting dogs breeders, hunting trophy experts, experts in the field of hunting dog training and testing and provide appropriate qualifications in accordance with the procedure established by the Minister of the Environment; and (e) to organize hunting trophy inspections, organizes hunting trophy exhibitions, hunters' competitions, symposiums, conferences. Article 6 establishes that landowners of land plots used as hunting grounds shall be granted the right of compensation for damages caused by hunting.
