Abstract Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The adequacy of the electricity system is the ability of the power system to ensure the balance between the generation and consumption of electricity and the security of the supply of electricity at any moment in the normal and emergency condition of the system.” Article 12 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The electricity sector consists of electricity consumers, producers, independent and public suppliers, transmission system and distribution network operators and electricity exchanges.” Article 61 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Consumers have the right to conclude electricity purchase and sale contracts with suppliers and manufacturers, which, in accordance with the procedure established by this Law, have the right to carry out electricity supply activities and operate in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania or in other Member States.” Full text Lithuanian Website e-seimas.lrs.lt References - Legislation Amends LAW ON ELECTRICITY (No. VIII –1881).
