Abstract Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Ecological culture shall be intended the level of development of harmonious interaction between man and nature, which is characterized by the awareness of humanity of the priority solution of environmental problems and scientifically based, which promotes a healthy lifestyle, sustainable socio-economic development, for the benefit of ecological security of each person of the country.” Article 4 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The main principles of the state policy of ecological continuous education and upbringing are: (a) state guarantee for the citizen to receive the necessary minimum of ecological knowledge on environmental security; (b) compulsory ecological education at all levels, and its continuity; (c) inclusion of ecological education in ecologically targeted sectoral state programs; (d) direction of ecological education and upbringing for the protection of the natural environment problem solving; (e) ensuring the diversity of cultures and traditions, preserving the national ethno-ecological system; and (f) the formation of common, interrelated scientific and cultural nature-oriented values.” Full text Armenian Website www.arlis.am References - Legislation Amends Law on ecological education of the population (2001).
