Abstract This Law establishes that authorized state institution in the field of food safety, veterinary medicine and phytosanitary shall be responsible for issuance of certificates, permits for transportation, transit, import and export of commodities subject to supervision thereby, registration of business entities and individual entrepreneurs operating in the field of food safety, veterinary medicine and phytosanitary, application of quarantine to imported animal species, provision of information of registered farm animals, issuance of sanitary certificates for vehicles transporting foodstuffs, verification of the presence of harmful plant organisms on the national territory and performance of regular monitoring with a view of preventing the spread thereof.
