Abstract This Law regulates the creation, entry, implementation of activities, management, termination of activities, reorganization, liquidation of agricultural cooperatives and their associations and establishes the rights, duties and responsibilities of their participants, as well as the direction of state assistance to agricultural cooperatives. An agricultural cooperative is a legal entity based on the membership of citizens and legal entities operating in the agro-food system and created to meet the material and other needs of the participants through the voluntary pooling of the property contributions of its members. Agricultural cooperatives shall operate in the following fields: (a) agricultural production and trade of agricultural commodities; (b) agricultural services; (c) processing of agricultural commodities; and (d) supply of fertilizers, plant protection means, planting materials, seeds, fuel products, animal feedstuffs and other materials for production of agricultural commodities.
