Abstract This Law gives a new definition of wastewater classified as polluted water after the use of water for industrial and domestic purposes, drainage water and rainwater. It also specifies that centralized drainage system shall be capable of ensuring residential effluent wastewater discharge and treatment of wastewater by specialized facilities thus ensuring secondary use water use of treated wastewater. This Law prohibits discharge of wastewater that does not meet quantitative and qualitative water standards into wastewater collection systems and also discharge of wastewater into torrential (flood) drainage systems.
