Abstract This Law is to set out the role of local self-government and to regulate relations between the State authorities and local self-government bodies. Local self-government bodies shall be responsible for the management of community’s property and financial resources. A community is a legal entity and disposes its property independently. This Act shall be applicable to city and rural communities. The competence of local self-government shall include: (a) land zoning and land use planning; (b) urban development and maintenance of the objects of cultural heritage. Lands located within administrative boundaries of a community shall be transferred free of charge under the jurisdiction of the respective community. Full text English
