The Law applies to salt producers and business operators. It consists of the following Chapters: (I) General provisions; (II) Criteria for salt quality and safety; (III) Inspection and monitoring of iodized salt; (IV) National Committee for the elimination of disorders caused by iodine deficiency; (V) Administrative offences. The State Sanitary Inspection under the Ministry of Health is the responsible inspection authority.
