The Law enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Law amends some provisions of the Environmental Protection Law, in particular: the Minister activity is held in coordination with the Council of Ministers; strengthens the provisions against smoking; stiffens controls on import and export of equipment and appliances containing controlled substances included in Montreal Protocol; water protection includes surface waters and prohibits well drilling without a previous permit; prohibits fishery activities in Kuwait Bay; reduces the time to implement the Regulation from 5 to 3 years from the moment of its publication; and strengthens the penalties for those who violate the provisions of the Law.
