Abstract This Law, consisting of 33 articles, establishes the Animal Health Protection within the State of Rondônia. It specifies that is the responsibility of the Agro-Silvo-Pastoralism Sanitary Protection Agency of the State of Rondônia (IDARON) to plan, implement, coordinate, articulate with other sectors, evaluate and supervise the Animal Health Protection Policies, through general and special programmes. In addition, it deals with veterinary drugs use and livestock inputs and other related activities in the State of Rondônia, aiming at the preservation and protection of animal health, as well as environmental protection aiming at valorising production and public health.
