Abstract This Law expands the categories of items to be included in the register of cultural heritage to include certain environmental areas, including natural landscapes. The Ministry of Culture shall be responsible for classifying and attributing the status of cultural heritage to material objects that shall be included in the national state register of the objects of cultural heritage. Each object of cultural heritage shall be issued a certificate containing the object’s scientific name, type, date of origin, location, management type and owner/manager data. In order to prevent damage to objects of cultural heritage, including environmental areas and protection zones, changes to the state or conditions of such objects shall be prohibited. The following zones shall be established to conserve objects of cultural heritage: (a) protection zones; (b) regulation areas; (c) landscape protection areas; and (d) cultivated soil layer protection zones.
