Abstract

This Law, consisting of 91 articles divided into twelve Chapters, establishes the Rural Land Policy and Rural Land Regularization in the State of Roraima. This Law provides for the policy on rural land regularization of land settlements within the State territory of Roraima. It prescribes land alienation, concession for the right of use of holdings, donation and promotion of measures that allow the rational use and economic development of rural public lands, granting the opportunity of access to the property, in order to comply with the principles of social justice, agricultural development and socio-environmental sustainability. The rural land regularization policy of the State is based on the citizenship and dignity of the human person, and will be carried out by the Institute of Land and Colonization of the State of Roraima (ITERAIMA). Lands preferably should be used in diversified agricultural activities, environmental conservation, settlement and colonization, aiming to improve the sustainable development of Roraima society, in accordance with art. 3 of Federal Law No. 10.304 of 2001, as amended.
