Abstract This Law creates the State Programme for Fish Ranching in the Main Dams of Paraiba. It aims at carrying out operation aiming at increasing fish species repopulation, restocking with larvae, post-larvae, fry, juveniles or adults of specific fish species. Technicians of the EMATER/PB shall be responsible for choosing the fish species that will repopulate water courses, based on the knowledge of the species, their adaptability, production and coexistence with other species.
