Abstract This Law, consisting of 88 articles divided into nine Chapters, approves the Legal Regime for the Exploration and Extraction of Aggregates. This Legal Regime defines the conditions under which the exploitation and extraction of aggregates is permitted in the National Territory. It is applicable to all natural and legal persons involved in the management, exploration and extraction, temporary, sporadic or permanent, of inert materials in the National Territory. For the purposes of the application of this legislation, the sands, gravels, sandstones, basalt, clays, limestones, coral reefs, pebbles, phonolites, trachytes, as well as all materials are considered inert raw materials that scientifically fall into this category.
