Abstract This Law, consisting of ten Chapters, establishes the legal framework to support the organization, monitoring, supervision, promotion and development of tourism activities applying to tourist activities of public and private sectors, tourists, consumers, service providers, and services and tourism products suppliers as well as other stakeholders in the tourism sector under the President as holder of executive power of the following instruments: National Tourism Plan, Strategic Plan for Tourism Development, Inter-Sectoral Strategy for the Development of Tourism. It applies to tourist activities in the public and private sectors, tourists, consumers of tourism products and services, service providers and suppliers of products and tourist services, as well as other stakeholders in the tourism industry. This are the general principles of public tourism policies: a) principle of sustainability; b) principle of mainstreaming; c) principle of competitiveness.
