This Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Law establishes measures to prevent and combat corruption, ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms, public interests, national security, as well as the elimination of the consequences of acts of corruption. Corruption shall be intended an illegal act that affects the normal performance of official duties and consists in the use by the subject of the act of corruption or the fact of corrupt conduct, of his or her official position in order to solicit acceptance or consent to accept, directly or indirectly, for himself or herself or for another person, material benefits or an unjustifiable advantage or to promise offering or providing the subjects of acts of corruption with pecuniary advantages or of material benefits or non-pecuniary benefits. Corruption prevention is guaranteed by the policies and practices of the relevant field, which constitute a set of legislative, institutional, economic, social and moral measures implemented through: (a) organization of the activities of public authorities; (b) conduct of civil servants, persons exercising responsible public services and other persons providing public services; (c) organizing anti-corruption expertise of draft legislative acts and draft government regulations, public discussion of drafts and assessment of institutional risks of corruption; (d) the manner of formation and management of public finances; (e) the participation of civil society and access to information in decision-making; (f) the procedures and mechanisms for decision-making; (e) participation of civil society and access to information in the decision-making process; (f) access to information on measures to prevent corruption and the results of their application; (g) involvement of private sector of the national economy; (h) prevention of money-laundering; (i) political activity and the electoral process; and (j) other measures necessary to achieve the purposes of this Law. This Law consists of VII Chapters divided into 26 Articles. Chapter I lays down general provisions. Chapter II establishes measure for the prevention of corruption. Chapter III regards bodies exercising powers for prevention and combating corruption. Chapter IV establishes liability for acts of corruption. Chapter V regards elimination of the consequences of acts of corruption. Chapter VI regards international cooperation. Chapter VII lays down final provisions.
