Abstract This Law regulatyes relations between consumers and producers, establishing the rights of consumers to purchase commodities of good quality and safe for public health and life, and also sets forth the mechamnism of implementation of consumers' rights. It establishes certification of commodities and safety standards. Foodstuffs shall be subject to mandatory labelling with indication of expiry date. Consumers shall be granted the right to purchase of safe colmmodities that under standard conditions of use, storage and transportation shall not damage life, health , environment and property of the consumer.
