In particular, it shall be in charge of the prevention and interdiction of illegal transit of ships, goods and persons in the Albanian sea. The Coast Guard shall carry out its tasks and functions (those defined under article 5) in the territorial sea, the contiguous zone and the exclusive economic zone of Albania.
