Abstract This Law validates National program for putting out of operation Chernobyl nuclear plant in order to transform it to ecologically secure system, radioactive waste management and disposal. The scope of this Law shall be to protect staff, population and environment against ionizing radiation. The main task shall be to maintain safety of nuclear power plant units one, two and three, and removal of nuclear fuel and radioactive waste with subsequent reprocessing and recycling of liquid and solid radioactive waste, and storage thereof.
