Abstract

This Law, consisting of 30 articles divided into five Chapters, creating the State Socioeconomic Policy for the State of Pará, the State Socioeconomic System, the State Socioeconomic Policy Council, and the State Policy Socioeconomic Fund. This State Policy is instituted in order to establish strategies and promote the socioeconomic development of the State, through programmes and projects that meet the regional and sectoral peculiarities. Socioeconomics is an area that proposes to study different expressions, projects and strategies of social coexistence, based on the expansion of the democratic plan, in which the economic advances are subordinated to social benefits extended to all society. The principles of the State Policy are: sustainable and inclusive economy, focused on the distribution of wealth and valuation of local and traditional socio-productive activities with a view to adopting clean and sustainable alternatives to production and consumption; respect for peoples, preserving cultural identity and traditional knowledge, in the form of protective measures; stimulation of socio-environmental development, with the representatives of the most vulnerable groups. The objectives of the State Policy are: I - combat poverty and promote the reduction of inequalities, and discrimination; II - order public and private investments for regional development; III - promote the generation of income; IV - promote expansion, qualification and improvement of spaces for social participation; V - promote economic growth through the strengthening of sustainable productive chains considered strategic for the development of the State; VI - stimulate potentials for local infrastructure in order to increase the capacities in the territory, etc.
