This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of seven Chapters, regulates the Plant Health Protection in the State of Mato Grosso. It establishes the hygiene and sanitary procedures to be carried out and fulfilled in order to keep and improve plant health of economic importance in the state of Mato Grosso. The Secretary of State for Rural Development (SEDER), through the Office of Agricultural Protection of the State of Mato Grosso (INDEA/ MT), is the competent authority to provide for related penalties for illegal activity. INDEA/MT may request the cooperation of the State Department of Finance, through their related inspection agencies. Plant Health Protection Service for the prevention of A1 and A2 quarantine pests is the competent agency to regulate: non-quarantine pests and quarantine pests A2 and for those officially under the control of the State of Mato Grosso.
