Abstract

This Law creates the State Documentation Programme for Rural Working Women in Piauí with the aim of regularizing and providing civil documentation for family farmers, agrarian reform settlers, campers, women affected by dams, quilombolas, artisanal fisherwomen, extractivists, indigenous people and women rural workers in general. The State Programme aims to: promote the citizenship status of rural women workers by guaranteeing formal citizenship, minimizing the absence of civil documentation in the countryside, strengthening the initiatives of social movements in the area and promoting coordinated action with the direct and indirect administration bodies of the State Public Power; enable women rural workers to have access to public policies, especially family farming and agrarian reform, by meeting the basic conditions for their inclusion; guide rural workers about their rights and the public policies they have achieved, which are implemented by the State Public Power; create and encourage partnerships with public and private bodies, with research institutions to assist in the implementation and monitoring of the programme; organize and keep updated the registration data of family farmers, agrarian reform settlers, women affected by dams, quilombolas, artisanal fisherwomen, extractivism and indigenous people.
