This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 26 articles divided into six Chapters, regulates the installation of sustainable shrimp farming enterprises in the State of Alagoas, observing the provisions of the Federal Law No. 12.651 of 25 May 2012, Federal Law No. 6.938 of 31 August 1981, and CONAMA Resolution No. 312 of 10 October 2002. The Law aims to promote the following aspects: sustainable exploitation of the natural resources of the State of Alagoas by shrimp farming, as an important source of food, employment, income and foreign exchange, guaranteeing the optimization of the resulting economic benefits, in harmony with the conservation of the surrounding environment and biodiversity; promotion and regulation of marine shrimp farming; ecologically sustainable use of ecosystems in the coastal zone, estuaries and reservoirs and surface and underground waters; socioeconomic development of the State, including technological and professional enhancement of technicians and workers involved in the shrimp farming activity; and support innovations aimed at improving the ecological interaction and technical-economic efficiency, including differentiated presentation and adding value to their products.
