This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law establishes the Programme for the acquisition of Family Farming Foodstuff within the State of Alagoas (PAA/AI) with the following objectives: encourage and strengthen family farming, promoting economic and social inclusion, sustainable production, food processing and income generation; promote the organization and modernization of production and improve the family farming products; stimulate the production of family farming; encourage the acquisition of family farming products for the purchases made by state public agencies; encourage the consumption of healthy, sustainable and value-based local and regional food crops; promote the supply of the socio-welfare network, and the government market; strengthen marketing networks for products originated from family farming; contribute to the promotion and strengthening of public security and food supply systems, prioritizing people and families in situations of social vulnerability; promote access to food in sufficient quantity, quality and regularity, to people in food and nutritional insecurity; generate work and income; develop techniques of organic or agroecological agriculture; support the practice of society cooperative; improving rural population quality of life; and promote training courses for farmers.
