Abstract Item 1 of the Article 6 of Land Code shall acquire a new wording: “Plot of land can be the object of purchase and sale, gift, exchange, mortgage and other commercial transactions and can be transferred as succession with restrictions imposed by this Code.” Item 5 of the Article 6 of Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on effectuation of the Land Code of the Kyrgyz Republic shall acquire a new wording: “5. Kyrgyz nationals permanently residing in the rural areas entitled to the allotment of land share but who have not been allotted it at the moment of entry into force of Land Code shall be allotted land shares free of charge at the expense of: (a) persons who have been previously allotted land shares that have not been legalized because of the change of citizenship; (b) deceased persons without direct heir; (c) persons who have renounced the allotted land share; (d) expropriated land; (e) low-yield agricultural land; and (f) in exceptional cases, out of the stock of unclaimed land.” Full text Russian Website www.carec.kz References - Legislation Amends Law No. 48 of 1999 on biospheric territories in the Kyrgyz Republic.
