Abstract This Law creates the Council for the Prevention of Corruption (CPC), an independent administrative authority, operating within the framework of the Court of Auditors. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Council, entitled to developing activities in the area of the prevention of corruption and related infractions. In particular, it is responsible to perform the following activities: detecting and preventing corruption risks, collecting and processing information so as to identify the areas most vulnerable to the penetration of the phenomenon and monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the existing legal instruments, as well as the administrative measures adopted by the Public Administration, Public Business Sector, as well as the local authorities, in matters pertaining to corruption.
